AI-powered app that estimates your meal’s glycemic impact from a photo — designed for people with diabetes and mindful eaters.

People with diabetes struggle to estimate how food affects their blood sugar. Current tracking apps require manual input and don’t reflect real-life meals — especially Mediterranean dishes — making everyday glycemic control time-consuming and inaccurate.
AI & Computer Vision analyze meals from photos. Estimates glycemic index (GI) and load (GL) in seconds. Integrates with Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGM) and insulin pump, becoming a all in one solution for diabetes management. Personalized nutrition insights based on meal history.
Users take a photo of their meal using the GlucoCam app. The AI model identifies ingredients, estimates carbohydrates, glycemic index, and load, and displays expected glucose impact. Over time, GlucoCam learns individual responses through integration with CGM data, offering personalized insights and meal recommendations.
GlucoCam is founded by Giacomo Rossato, a data scientist and Type 1 diabetic with a PhD in Physics, experienced in AI and biomedical modeling, and Lucrezia Rangoni, an economist specialized in food systems and health innovation. Together, they combine deep technical expertise and domain knowledge to build accessible, science-based digital health tools.
GlucoCam will adopt a freemium model: free access to basic tracking and photo analysis, with premium features such as detailed analytics, CGM integration, and personalized nutrition plans available via subscription. Future B2B partnerships with clinics, dieticians, and health platforms will provide additional revenue streams.
